Teran Triumphs in Philly
Mexican top seed Samantha Teran claimed her fifth WISPA tour
title with a 9/3, 9/1, 9/6 victory over second seeded Englishwoman
Sarah Kippax at Berwyn Squash & Fitness Club in Philadelphia.
For both finalists it was two steps better than last year, when Teran
went out in the semis and Kippax in the quarters.
"I
enjoyed coming back to Philly and seeing all the great people I met
last year.
"It gave me good luck to win my 5th WISPA Tournament. Thank you so
much for everything."

Cracking semis in Berwyn
The
semi-finals of the Liberty Bell Open provided fabulous entertainment
for spectators at the Berywn Squash & Fitness Club, with top
seed Samantha Teran recovering from a game down to beat
Georgina Stoker, and second seed Sarah Kippax saving game balls
in both the second and third games as she outlasted Joshna Chinappa in
a marathon 85 minute four-game battle.
"Great fun and very exciting to watch!" commented one observer.
Teran, a semi-finalist here last year, will be aiming for her fifth
WISPA title while Kippax will be hoping to record her first tour
victory.
