In the women’s final, Ranieri overcame a 4-8 deficit in the second game en route to her second consecutive national title defeating fourth-seed Stephanie Edmison of Toronto 11-6, 11-8, 11-4.

Ranieri, seeded second, scored seven unanswered points to catch, pass and win that second game.

In the third place match, Samantha Cornett of Ottawa defeated top-seed Alexandra Norman of Montreal in straight games. Edmison had upset Norman in Friday’s semifinal.
