Day ONE & TWO Full Results

Day One:
Top seeds safely through opening day in Riccione as Czech women upset the Dutch

It all went top plan for the top seeds as the 2014 edition of the European Team Championships got under way in Riccione.

In men's division one defending champions England beat Spain and Finland, both 4-0, while perennial finalists France were similarly untroubled against Denmark and Netherlands.

Scotland and Germany were both unbeaten, meaning that the semi-finalists are already decided, with day two's England v Scotland and France v Germany matches to decide the pairings.

The women's top division also saw the top seeds progress as England,  Ireland  and France stayed on course for further semi-final appearances, but in Pool A the Czech Republic surprised Netherlands to give themselves a great chance of reaching the semi-finals for the first time.
