It's Lambs and Lambs
in Barcelona ...

The final of the 5Nations Squash Championship in Barcelona was a battle between Lambs and Lambs International.....they stung their teams sailing through to the final now they will have to sting each other to see which Lambs team will have the bragging rights for the next year and take home the "PAELLA".

Lambs International claimed their bragging rights for 2008 by beating their carefully spoken English club mates 299-209. This win was makes Lambs international the 1st winners of the Barcelona edition of the 5Nations Championships.

The 3/4th place playoff was all scored in spanish for the Catalan vs Rocafort, Catalan slotting up a win 330-271 to claim the 3rd place in a wonderfully entertaining match.

The 5/6th place was an in house battle between Polisquash and Poli Squash International......the International side scraping a win 209-196 when Avvocato Zanco battered his way to a win over 5Nations favourite Pepe.

23rd 24th is May in Milan is the next stop for the 5Nations. Preparation are in full swing to make this already successful event better. The long awaited 5Nations video is in the making and Sky Italy are making a documentary on the event.

Book your flights and we'll be seeing you there.

Steele&Stones Lifestyles

The exhibition between Marcus Berrett and Tim Garner was a great show of thoughtful entertaining squash. Marcus lobbed and dropped his way to won 2-1.

I would like to thank all the sponsors for there help and support . Rosa Rius for her time a passion in organising the event which is never easy in its first year but every year will get better.

All the teams that played good fun squash in the correct spirit in which any sport should be played.
Thank Prince and Peter Nicol for their help and in given us the Pro's Marcus Berrett and Tim Garner for the Exhibition and the Prince clinic for Kids that was enjoyed so much by all.

A social Saturday ...

The 2nd round saw the very social Poli Squash and Poli International team and the Lambs and Lambs international sides swagger around the courts in "the morning after style squash".

The Lambs team again showed that experience counts and brushed aside the Poli International side with ease. There were some very interesting matches and probably the best was the match between the wise Sean Ackaert and Andrea Murari, Andrea only started playing squash a year ago and already plays a good solid game of squash. Andrea ran hit straight and ran and ran, Sean gently volleyed and dropped until Andrea fell to his knees in the last points. Lambs win 295-267.

The other match between Poli Squash and Lambs International saw some highly entertaining matches due to blurry vision and a few sore heads, the sangria took its toll in the final stages of the every match with the Poli Squash coming the worst off. Lambs International win 315-171.

Lambs lash home team

The 5 Nations Squash Championships kicked off in a sunny Barcelona with a Prince Clinic for 12 Catalunya kids lead by Marcus Berrett Tim Garner and Duncan Steele.

The 1st round saw a convincing win by Lambs England over the home team Rocafort, that put up a good fight but the experience of the Lambs team saw them come through 342-281.

In the other match it was all never sure who was going to win with the result swing favourable 1st to Catalan Flag then to Lambs International, the final matches were tense as it was going down to the wire, a spectacular Marco Bieto nearly pulled the match around in favour of the Catalan but his skid boasts and hard hitting niks weren't enough. Lambs International win by only 4 points 298-294.

5Nations goes to Spain ...

Following on from the success of the 5Nations Championships at Milan's PoliSquash, the latest edition takes place in Barcelona, with teams from Lambs England, Catalan, Barcelona Spain, Poli Squash Italy and a mixed United Nations Team.

"The 5 Nations event held over the last two years in Milan has been a roaring success so to hear a second event is being hosted in Barcelona is no surprise. The format gives the event a relaxed and fun atmosphere where squash enthusiasts can have a wonderful weekend break, play some squash and enjoy some great company. A great idea all round."
