To tell you the truth, I was a bit worried because I texted David a few days ago, asking if the baby was born, and didn’t get any response, which is not like the Marine of Squash, as he is normally prompt to come back to me…

But no, everything is absolutely fine. Kayla Jane Palmer was born on Friday evening around 8pm, and the delivery went perfectly well (Mel went into labour around 2.30 in the afternoon, which is not too bad considering it was their first child), and there she was, a lovely 3.6kg adorable young Palmer…

I didn’t get to speak with Mel, as both mum and daughter are still in hospital and should get out on Tuesday, but David was over the moon. “She is very alert, and she doesn’t cry! Mind you, it could change pretty soon”, he laughed…

So, from all of us here at SquashSite, congratulations to you both (not that David had much to do with the whole thing, now did he!), and all my love to you three…
