France's Stephane Galifi completed straight games victory over Welshman Gavin Jones in the final at Atlanta's Concourse Club to claim his third career PSA title.

For Jones it was his second final in a month, and having lost out in the Losone Open final he is still looking for his first PSA tour title.

Galifi, 26-year-old world No46 from Rouen, was appearing in his sixth final and added to the two titles he claimed in Australia in 2004.

14-May, Semi-Finals:

Jones and Galifi in Atlanta Final

The final of the Grant Thorton Atlanta Open in Atlanta's Concourse Club will be between France's Stephane Galifi and Welshman Gavin Jones after both completed straight games victories over Matthew Giuffre and Alister Walker, respectively.

Jones created his second consecutive seedings upset, adding third-seeded Walker to the scalp of Spain's second seed Borja Golan.

For Jones it will be his second final in a month, but having lost out in the Losone Open final he will be hoping for his first PSA tour title, Galifi, in his sixth final, aiming for a third title.

12-May, Round ONE:
Bhattacharya Battles
To Atlanta Upset

India's Ritwik Bhattacharya scored a major upset in the Grant Thornton Atlanta Open when he beat top seed Mohamed Essam A Hafiz on the opening day.

Bhattacharya, 25, from New Delhi, despatched his Egyptian opponent 3/0 to become the only unseeded player to reach the last eight.

His opponent in the quarter-finals will be Matthew Giuffre after the sixth-seeded Canadian triumphed 3/1 over Dutch qualifier Dylan Bennett.

Martin Heath's bid to halt his slide down the PSA world rankings took a knock when he went down in four games to Frenchman Jean-Michel Arcucci. The former world No4 from Scotland has plummeted from 35 to 149 in the world list this year. In his first PSA Tour appearance since the Canadian Classic last November, Heath lost 3/1 to eighth seed Arcucci - who goes on to meet England's No3 seed Alister Walker.
