SURPRISE FINALISTS
IN MONTREAL

His illustrious brother may have retired, but Canada's Ian Power is making waves in Montreal, beating two seeds to reach the semi-finals of the Club Atwater Classic, where he fell to another surprise package, qualifier Yasser El Halaby, fresh from his record-breaking fourth national college title.

The other semi-final was an all South American affair, with Mexico's top seeded Eric Galvez facing Colombian speed merchant Miguel Angel Rodriguez for a place in the final. The Colombian took a 2/1 advantage before Galvez was forced to retire injured, setting up a repeat of January's Rochester Pro-Am final ...
