Rebecca Delivers,
Steve's first title ...
Hong Kong got half the double it was hoping for, but how close it
was ...
Rebecca Chiu, appearing in her third consecutive Buler
final, finally took the women's title with a straight games win
over second seed Kasey Brown.
HK's men's top seed Wai Hang Wong was denied a repeat of his 2005
victory in a nail-biting finish against unseeded Steve
Coppinger, who prevailed 16/14 in the fifth to claim his first
PSA title in only his fifth month on the tour.

20-Jan, Semi-Finals:
HK Dream still on course
Hong Kong top pair Rebecca Chiu and Wai Hang Wong
will contest the finals of the Buler Challenge Cup after they
delighted home fans with semi-final victories over Mohd Nafiizwan
Adnan and Christina Mak, respectively.
Chiu, bidding to go one better than her runners-up spot last year,
will meet second seed Kasey Brown, who demolished
fellow-Aussie Dianne Desira 27-0, while Wong faces South African
Steve Coppinger, who ended the giant-killing run of Spain's
David Vidal in a closely fought contest.

19-Jan, Quarter-Finals:
HK double still on ...
but only just
Top seeds Rebecca Chiu and
Wai Hang Wong remain on course for a Hong Kong double in the
Buler Cup, but they enjoyed contrasting victories today.
Chiu eased into the semi-finals with a straight-games win over
Donna Urqhuart, and now meets compatriot Christina Mak for a place
in the final. The other women's semi will be an all-Australian
affair between Kasey Brown and Dianne Desira.
In the men's event HK number one Wong found himself two games down
to Frenchman Romain Tenant, but dug himself out of trouble with a
valiant comeback in a hour-long match. Wong faces Malaysian Nafiizwan
Adnan for a place in the final.
Second seed Timothy Arnold perished in a very tight encounter with
David Vidal, and the Spanish qualifier now meets South Africa's
Steve Coppinger in the semis.

Hong Kong hopes for
Buler Double ...
If all goes to seeding it will be a Hong Kong double at the latest
edition of the Buler Challenge Cup at the Hong Kong Squash Centre.
In the $14k women's event top seed is Rebecca Chiu, who
will be looking to go one better than the runner-up spot she
occupied in 2005 and 2006, while Wai Hang Wong, once again
top seed in the $4k men's event, will be hoping to repeat his
success in the 2005 edition.
The Hong Kong pair's main challengers are expected to be
Australia's Kasey Brown and Malaysia's Timothy Arnold.
