13-Oct, Semis:
Ryder stops all-Egyptian final in Santa Cruz

Top seed Ali Anwar Reda won his all-Egyptian semi-final in Santa Cruz, recovering from a game down to beat Amr Swelim and reach his 7th PSA final of the year.

His opponent in the final will be England's Chris Ryder, who triumphed over second seed Amr Mansi in what tournament organiser Jordi Bercedo described as "an incredible match, one of the best I've seen in my 20 years in the squash world."
12-Oct, Quarters:
Swelim swats Scott

Amr Swelim extended the Egyptian interest in the semi-finals of the OHL Canary Islands Open to three when he upset Australian Scott Arnold in a five-game quarter-final at the Centro Insular de Squash de Tenerife in Santa Cruz on the Spanish island of Tenerife.

The 23-year-old fifth seed from Cairo came back from 1/2 down to beat fourth seed Arnold in 93 minutes.

Swelim will now face top seed Mohd Ali Anwar Reda in an all-Egyptian semi-final.

Chris Ryder will be hoping to stop an Egyptian takeover when he meets second seed Amr Mansi in the other semi. The third-seeded Englishman from Wolverhampton beat France's No7 seed Julien Balbo, while Mansi despatched England's Jonathan Harford.
