Alarcon delights
home fans in Rio

Local hero Rafael Alarcon from Goiania delighted all Brazilian fans last night in the Rio Design Mall, beating Argentinian Roberto Pezzota in straight games. Pezzota started well, reaching taking a quick three-point lead, but from that moment on the match turned. Alarcon, very focused, dominated the centre of the court and the whole match. The Brazilian played at a fast pace and was very consistent as he came back to a 8/3 lead and closed the first game 11/6.

He took the second game to the same score, and it was little different in the third as he claimed the title in just 28 minutes.

Alarcon now is flying to Quito , Ecuador where he will play local Juan Chacon on Thursday on the first round.
