Huisman beats compatriot
Noom to clinch Enschede title
Margriet Huisman beat compatriot Orla Noom in the final of the Pepsi
Enschede Open 2007 to claim her fourth WISPA title of the year.
The 23-year old Dutch player, who earlier in the year won the Swedish
Open, Swiss Open and the Hemubo Trophy in Almere, took a 2-0 lead in
games against her regular training partner before Noom hit back to level
the match.
The fifth and final game saw Huisman open up a quick 5-0 lead, which
proved a big enough cushion for the world number 39. After 79 minutes of
high quality squash, Huisman took the glory and the ranking points,
which will see her continue her rise in the world rankings. |
