Antwerp take Belgium Club Champs

Ronny Vlassaks, Belgium National Coach and his team with good
old Wim van Asten and Dutch youngsters Piedro Schweertman
and Bastiaan Meulenbelt became National Club Champions by
beating Winner's Club Brussels 3-1 in their National
Club PlayOffs.

Charlie de Rijcke, Ankie Nedee and Els van
women's cup because their opponents from Castle Club Brussels
arrived one hour late. Due to very strict regulations of the Belgium
Federation the title was awarded to Indoor Antwerp.

In a controversial presentation ceremony CastleClub refused to
accept their runners-up trophy.

Home win for Odense

The playoffs in the Danish Team Championships was played this
weekend in the brand new facilities of Squash Center Danmark right
in the heart of the beautiful city of Odense.
Odense SC - Aabyhoj
The home team, Odense SC, faced Aabyhoj in the first semifinal. An
easy day at the office for Odense who won 6-1.
Herlev/Hjorten - Copenhagen SC
In the second semifinal Copenhagen SK was the favorite in their
local derby clash against Herlev/Hjorten. Copenhagen however where
missing their 1st string Alex Stait witch made this match all even.
It became just as close as expected but in the end Herlev/Hjorten
team just won the match 4-3
Final: Herlev/Hjorten - Odense SC
In front of a big home crowd Odense took on Herlev/Hjorten. There
where a lot of good matches, but once again Odense was just too
strong on practically all the singles.

Odense SC won the final 6-1 where the only Herlev/Hjorten win came
as 1st string and Danish champion Morten W. Sorensen beat Romain
Tenant.
