World of Squash Golf Day ‘08

Tue 29th July, Epsom
The Eventis Sports Marketing team have announced another first to add to their growing portfolio.

On Tuesday 29th July 2008 eighty golfers will gather in Epsom to head out over 18 holes for the first ever World of Squash Golf Day.

Taking place on the beautiful Coronation Course, at the stunning RAC, Woodcote Park, this initiative launched by Eventis will bring together golfers from all walks of squash, including current & former players, sponsors, administrators and fans of the sport. They will be able to do battle over the challenging course before enjoying dinner together in the spectacular main building.

Eventis are also the rights holders of several other ‘firsts’ including the English Open, The Canary Wharf Squash Classic and the World Squash Awards, and see a golf day as a natural progression.

Always committed to growing the sport first and then looking to build on those solid foundations, the event has found support from the associations, clubs and players from professional to recreational. Prizes will be awarded for the best individual and team, as well other competitions, such as Nearest the Pin & Longest Drive. Swing analysis company MySwingZone will also set up on one of the holes to add further interest to the day's activities.

"Having now firmly established the World Squash Awards as fixture on the squash scene, we felt this was an opportunity to get like minded individuals from the world of squash together but away from the court. We are sure that it will be a competitive but fun day for all concerned and will hopefully stimulate interaction and introductions that might not otherwise occur.

"Hosting the event at the wonderful Royal Automobile Club at Woodcote Park made perfect sense as their Pall Mall Club has played host to our Awards dinner for the first three years. This event will further strengthen an already flourishing relationship we, and the squash world, has with the RAC."
