Home Internationals 2005
Teams representing England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales competed in
the annual Home Internationals over three weekends in Dublin,
Cardiff and Nottingham.
England have traditionally been victorious, but the Cardiff
weekend saw an upset as Wales took the Mens Over 45 title, the
first non-English winners in 25 years.
Normal order was resumed in Nottingham, which also featured the
first ever O70 event, where Scotland beat England 115-97 on points
countback after a 2-2 draw.

Jason Foster reports from Dublin ...
The Master's Home Internationals Squash Tournament for Womens Over
35, Mens Over 35 and Mens Over 40 were held at the the impressive
Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club in Dublin between 29-30 April 2005.
Play commenced at 7pm on Friday after the teams had attended a photo
call.
Each match was assigned 1 court to play their match on. The order of
play was number 5 strings first, followed by number 4, numbers 1, 3
and finally number 2.
England were the hot favourites in all the categories and their
first matches were against the host country Ireland.
