ALMOST FAMOUS

Amr Shabana, world number 5 and
2003 World Champion on how to become ...

Almost Famous

Become at least a top 5 player on the professional men’s circuit, become number one in your country, win the Men’s World title in both singles and team events ... this will ensure you a spot in the ALMOST FAMOUS CLUB…

Being a top player on the tour really sucks.

The only way for it not to is to win every tournament on the tour, big or small, whether it’s a $1,000 prize event, or a $100,000. Win every single event on the tour, i.e. 50 events.

If you do that, and only if you do that, you will get (less taxes and expenses) the sum of a quarter of a million!!!!

What the xxxxxxx!!!!!!!

That’s almost 100 times less than what any professional athlete makes! Somebody needs to get the boot for that. The players do their part, you’ve got some amazing players, each one does his job, on and off court.

It’s hard value for money, it’s not fair, but we play anyway and usually, we do everything we can to see this game go big like it should.

And the Olympics???

That’s a whole different story…
