Ponte Girls go down in History
To celebrate their success in the European
Club Championships in Malmo, Pontefract’s women’s team are to
appear in a Christmas Calendar, suitably clad for the cold
weather, to show that they have other attributes than just playing
squash.
Becky Botwright, Lauren Siddall, Kirsty McPhee, Deon Saffery and
Sarah Bowles are the girls in question and a look at the
calendar, put together by professional photographer Andrew Box,
will show what I mean.
As holders of the championship Pontefract automatically defend their
title in 2007 and the proceeds of the venture will go towards the
team’s expenses.
The calendar will be available from November 8th, it costs £5 +
