Bianchetti claims home-town
hat-trick in Brescia ...
Italian star Davide Bianchetti celebrated the third PSA title in his
hometown when he won the inaugural Progetto 6 Open in Brescia.
Winner of the Mega Italia Open earlier this year, and two years ago,
Bianchetti was seeded to notch up his hometown hat-trick.
The 31-year-old duly reached the final – the 19th of his career -
after beating Jens Schoor, the third seed from Germany in the
semi-finals.
Second seed Ben Ford had a harder route to the climax, taking 50
minutes to overcome fourth-seeded Italian Luca Mastrostefano to
reach his fifth PSA final.
But Bianchetti made full use of his home advantage, beating the
Englishman in 42 minutes to claim the ninth PSA title of his career.
