Oldies Pull Through in St Louis
It
was a good day for two veterans of US squash at the St Louis Rackets
Club as Mike Puertas and Jamie Crombie, boasting a
combined age of 83, came through qualifying to reach the main draw.
Puertas, 40, had to survive two matches along with his duties as
tournament director, while Crombie, the 43-year-old many-time US
champion, had the luxury of a bye in the first qualifying round.
Puertas' reward is the toughest draw of all the qualifiers, a match
against third seed Amr Mansi.
