06-Feb:

Qualifying Complete
in Linkoping

Norther Europe's biggest tournament is at the main draw stage at the Linkoping Squash Centre, with Chris Ryder, Jon Harford, Simon Rosner and Amr Swelim booking their places in the main draw.

In the women's event Olga Ertlova and Elina Kononen claimed the two available places.

"I'm very pleased to win today, I qualified last year so its nice to do it again. Last time we played was in the canary islands and the out come was the same."

"It was a good match, I played well the first 3 games but I'm struggling with some leg problems since I was in Egypt but overall a well good organised tournament and all creds to Chris."

"Jesse got of to a good start and I had to pick up the pace in the second and I felt very comfortable through the rest of the match and it went my way. Looking forward to play in the main draw tomorrow."

"I'm very pleased with my match and I got the first game, but then for the rest of the match Amr played so well and I just didn't know what to do to put the ball away."

"I thought I played well and very pleased to win in straight games. I'm happy to be in the main draw, it' so much better performance than last year. It' nice that this event is even bigger this year. I played relaxed and comfortable with tight length and felt strong in the front court."

"We played in a high pace and I played well but Simon just played better and the bigger points went to Simon. Simon works the ball better but I didn't have any pressure on me."

"Somehow I felt that I rested to much today. Completely blew up after just 2 games! Not sure what went on physically today!"

"I'm very pleased to qualify to a 5 star event, its going to be nice to play at the glascourt here in Sweden once again. First win over Stacey. Stacey got of to a good start and second game was crucial and got him tired and had a good length and took the ball early.

"Overall very pleased and looking forward to play tomorrow."
