Handley takes
Tilburg title
England's top seed Scott
Handley secured his seventh PSA title in the picturesque Dutch town of
Tilburg, beating France's Mathieu Castagnet in straight games in the
final.
Castagnet had earlier in the day won his clash with former junior rival
Chris Simpson in five games, and essentially had nothing left for the
final.

Rivals to clash
 Former
European junior rivals Chris Simpson, of England, and Mathieu
Castagnet, from France, have claimed unexpected places in the
semi-finals of the Altipower Tilburg Open after quarter-final upsets over
two of the top four seeds in the new event in the Netherlands.
Seventh seed Simpson, the 2005 European Junior Champion and reigning
British Junior champion from Guernsey, brushed aside Australia's No2 seed
Bradley Hindle.
 The
Yorkshire-based 19-year-old will now face Castagnet for a place in his
first PSA Tour final. Eighth seed Castagnet, runner-up in the 2004
European Junior Championships, beat England's fourth seed Chris Ryder. The
19-year-old from Le Mans is also one place away from his first Tour final.
The other Tilburg semi-final will be an all-English affair between top
seed Scott Handley, from Oxfordshire, and third seed Sam Miller, from
Warwickshire. |

 I
just lost 3/0 to Scott. I'm very happy with my tournament, but
against Scott, I just ran out of steam. It's a very tough
tournament, as we play two matches a day, and my match against Chris
Simpson in the semis went to five, and 11/8 in the decider.
PS: Congrats to Thierry, Greg and Renan for their performances in
the English...

PSA HISTORY
Since the introduction of 11-scoring in September 2004, only three matches
have finished on 'tie-breaks' in all games.
The first came when Shawn De Lierre beat Mark Andrew Burke
11/10, 11/10, 11/10 (all 2-0) in the Tech Valley
Open of November 2004, and in the Tilburg first round we saw the
second and third examples ...
