Brown Claims Maiden Title in Perth
Australia's Kasey Brown provided the home fans with a local winner
as she swept through the field to claim her maiden WISPA title in the WA
Squash Open in Perth.
Brown, the 19-year-old world number 34 from Queensland, eased through the
first two rounds, but had to fight back from a game down in the semi-final
against qualifier Amanda Hopps, who had beaten Malaysia's fourth seed
Triciah Chuah in the quarters
The top seed needed to repeat the feat in the final against third seeded
Kiwi Louise Crome to add a main tour title to her clutch of junior
honours.
Four for Boswell
In the men's event former world No.4 Stewart Boswell, who returned
to tournament play last month after nearly two years on the sideline with
a mystery back ailment, defeated England’s Laurence Delasaux 11-6
11-3 11-5 in a repeat of last week's Merredin Open final to claim his
fourth PSA title in six weeks since his comeback.
