Who lit your squash
spark? |
I
come from a family of squash players from my home of South Africa. |
|
Always squash, or
could you have competed in another sport? |
I was
keen on athletics and hockey too, but definitely best at squash. |
|
What do you hate
most about training? |
I
could really do without stretching! |
|
The best thing
about being an international player? |
I
really love picking up the frequent flyer miles,
and getting to music gigs around the world. |
|
Your favourite
place to play events? |
I
guess I would have to say
Jamaica,
but there are other great stops too. |
|
Filling in time
before matches? |
Like
everybody else watching DVDs and listening to music,
but unlike the rest hitting the pillows with my drumsticks! |
|
Squash
superstitions? |
None
at all. |
|
The worst thing
about travelling? |
Food
on the planes is not always great and dealing with customs officers
and immigration people is not fun. |
|
Your travelling
entertainment provider? |
Boring, but iPod, drumming magazines and my computer. |
|
Pizza or pasta? |
Pizza. I am not known for having a weight problem! |
|
Tea or coffee? |
Coffee – Irish! |
|
Fruit or chocolate? |
Actually, fruit. I am not really a chocolate person. |
|
Just finished
reading? |
I
haven’t finished many books in my life!
Finished recently would be the autobiography of Greenday. |
|
The album you
listen to most? |
Too,
too many to mention.
Anything from rock to electronic dance music. |
|
How many texts sent
each day? |
Plus
or minus 20. |
|
Sporting event you
would most like to go to? |
The
Rugby World Cup next year in France or any Olympic Games. |
|
Dinner with any
sports person past or present? |
It
would be Andre Agassi for me. |
|
Glass half full or
half empty? |
Half
full. I am a positive sort of person normally. |
|
Your life so far,
one thing you would change? |
My
hair! |
|
Plans for the
future? |
I am
really not sure. Maybe one of my other interests
such as music, drumming, extreme sports or wine will the one.
Maybe even a combination. |
