Five of Eight for Czechs

Czech players were very successful today in Prague. 5 out of 8 titles remained at home including both most prestigious under 19 titles.

Anna Klimundova and Daniel Mekbib
won the U19 category. Martin Svec and Denisa Peleskova won in under 17s. The fifth title was won by Jan Ryba in boys under 15.

The girls under 15s were won by Sasha Cocks from Wales. Marija Shpakova from Switzerland and Ruoshan Yau from England triumphed in the youngest under 13 category.

Anna Klimundova was simply too good for his Austrian opponent Sandra Polak in girls´ U19 final today. Anna dominated the rallies with hard and accurate drives and won a bit surprisingly easily in quick three games.

Boys´ under 19 final was much closer affair with old Czech rivals Roman Svec and Daniel Mekbib battling for very close five games. Roman started the fifth better. He got a good lead but Daniel did not give up. He slowly clawed back to level with a fast pressure play that forced Roman to move quickly to all four corners. At the end Daniel was simply more focused and composed than Roman who suffered a bit physically as well.

All the spectators were pleased with a high level and entertaining match to finish off the whole well run tournament.
