than ten main
stories then the archive (which will be organised in
monthly pages)

essentials, based on what we see people looking at - other
sections are contained within these main topics

Tumblr - we have lots of
info on many Tumblr sections, so these are more prominent

Highlight areas - slots
on the home page which can be switched to highlight
different sections/pages/offers etc

More mobile friendly -
over 50% of our views are now on mobiles/tablets, so a
cleaner homepage, larger font is more mobile and search
engine friendly

All still there -
prominent links to the old (2009) home page so it's all
still there ...

Banner spots - larger
header & footer area for adverts/sponsors, plus rotating sections for
other sponsors

It's still
a hand-crafted site, using FrontPage / Expression Web
rather than a modern database-driven 'same as all the
others' site, but we like it this way and hopefully it
retains the 'feel' of the old site but is also more
maneagable ...

We've refined our Search
Page, and will provide TAGS at the bottom of
pages for ready-made searches (you've always been able to
do this yourself, but you probably didn't know!)
