men's champion after, the fourth seed beating third-seeded Chi
Him Wong in straight games in an all-Hong Kong final.
France's Melissa Alves denied a home double as she followed up
her semi-final win over the top seed with a dramatic 12-10 in
the fifth final win over second seed Lee Ka Yi.

Home trio through to finals
as Alves comeback denies Chu
A home winner of the men's Contrex Challenge Cup is guaranteed
after Henry Leung and Chi Him Wong upset Malaysian
top seeds Mohd Syafiq Kamal and Addeen Idrakie in today's
semi-finals at Kowloon Cricket Club.
Second seed Lee Ka Yi will contest the women's final
after beating Indian Sunaya Kuruvilla in straight games, but a
HK clean sweep was denied as France's Melissa Alves came
from two games down to beat top seed Vanessa Chu.

Top seeds through to semis
The semi-finals of the men's and women's Contrex Challenge Cup
at Kowloon Cricket Club will be contested by the top four seeds.
Both men's semis will be Malaysia v Hong Kong affairs as
Malaysian top seeds Mohd Syafiq Kamal and Addeen
Idrakie face Hong Kong's Henry Leung and Chi Him
Wong, while home players feature in both of the women's
semis, where top seed Vanessa Chu faces France's
Melissa Alves and second seed Lee Ka Yi meets Indian
Sunaya Kuruvilla.
