Willstrop Tops Grasshopper Cup Draw

English World No.5 James Willstrop will top the draw when the 2014 Grasshopper Cup gets underway in Zurich on Wednesday April 23.

The 30-year-old former World No.1 will take on Finland’s Olli Tuominen in the first round of the PSA $50k event which will be played out at hall of the "ewz selnau", a prime location in the heart of Zurich.

Defending Grasshopper Cup champion Alister Walker of Botswana faces a tough first round encounter with Egyptian legend Amr Shabana while home favourite Nicolas Mueller will take on German Simon Rosner, the number five seed, in his opening match.

World No.6 and second seed for the event, Borja Golan will face a qualifier in his first round match-up while Daryl Selby, Omar Mossad, Tarek Momen and Cameron Pilley complete the line-up in a strong field which includes nine players from within the World Top 20.
