Top seeds Joey Chan and Nour El Tayeb continued to impress as they reached the semi-finals, and sixth-seeded Lauren Briggs ended the run of Habiba Mohamed, but it was young Egyptian Nouran Gohar who again grabbed the headlines at Alexandria Sporting Club.

Having already beaten Emily Whitlock, Gohar, the reigning British Junior Open U15 champion, scored a second stunning upset as she beat fourth seed Aisling Blake in straight games!
